For Penny's 50th birthday, Sydney Props turned an unstyled bar into a full Moroccan Casablanca world — burgundy drape, brass lantern light and jewel-toned florals, floor to ceiling.

Penny came to us with one clear reference point — the warmth and romance of Moroccan Casablanca — and one hard constraint: seven days to deliver it. Sydney Props Specialists took the brief from concept to floor plan to full installation, styling Zeta Bar end to end so that every corner of the room, not just the feature wall, told the same story.
A theme, a mood board, and a room with nothing in it yet.
Penny arrived with inspiration imagery and a clear direction: Moroccan Casablanca, in full. Not a single feature wall or photo backdrop, but a complete transformation — the warmth, romance and cinematic atmosphere of the theme carried through every part of the venue.
The brief was as much about pace as it was about style. Zeta Bar needed to go from an unstyled shell to a finished, immersive room within a single week.
Deep burgundy, warm metal, and light that moves.
Our styling team built the concept around a tight material palette — burgundy draping, warm metallic finishes, ornate furnishings, patterned textiles and Persian rugs, lit by lantern glow and layered with palms and jewel-toned florals.
Penny visited our Marrickville collection in person to walk the concept in real materials, refining the direction and selecting roughly $12,000 in props for the night.

Sydney Props entered Zeta Bar the day before the celebration to deliver the full prop package and style the venue end to end — layered drape, decorative screens, ornate furniture, rugs, lanterns, florals, palms and personalised Casablanca details, composed area by area into one consistent visual story.
