In the once upon a time….damsels and Kings courted and consorted within these castle walls. Through the imposing gates, the armoured knights charged to pledge allegiance to the throne and sword. Helmet, shield and gauntlet, flashing by firelight. Branching candelabrum light the hall and the waiting banquet – a plentiful spread of meats, breads, fruits and mead – fit for a full court. On a dais, draped in crested banners, stands a golden chalice…the treasured prize from an arduous quest. The great stone walls of the Keep rise all around - an imposing fortress housing many rooms, stairways, turrets and winding a tortuous way down to the cold and dank dungeons imprisoning enemies of the realm forever.
