Moulin Rouge

It’s the turn of the century you are a young English writer, that has come to Paris to follow the Bohemian revolution taking hold of the city's drug and prostitute infested underworld. And nowhere is the thrill of the underworld more alive than at the Moulin Rouge. A french night club where the rich and poor men alike come to be entertained by the dancers, but a word of warning don’t start a deadly love affair with the star courtesan of the club, Satine. She is trouble! Beware of the club's patron: the Duke. This dangerous love triangle is the story of Moulin Rouge..can love can conquer all? Sydney Props has captured the spirit of these times with a series of Moulin Rouge posters hand painted on plywood and ready for a brass easel .We suggest a collage of references including a make up mirror with red lip stick message, a street lamp, and a 1891 poster by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec then the scene is set. Crushed burgundy velvet overlayed with rich gold fabric can be used bordering our can-can dancers mural, an ornate cocktail, some club furniture and velvet drapes uniting the theme pockets around the event space. We have a three meter high windmill that when coupled with a bulb lit sign reading “Moulin Rouge” the stage is set for a night of legs high fun and fancy! Our series of backdrops and props designed to deliver the message of Paris and show girls with a touch of burlesque. .
