Rigging: Drapes and rigging
Our drape kit includes; plush full velvet curtains, sequenced curtains, lame’, white chiffon .We have three different types of rigging equipment to suit any venue.
1. Pushup and Poles
This system is very simple to use we supply a base plate ,an upright pole with a tri nut and pole adaptor ,then an aluminum pole to travel between this post and the next. These poles will extend to 2.6m high. great for use in home or office setup. Best installed by one of our crew or an experienced tradesman.
2. Telescopic extension poles
These sets extend 6m high .They include a large flat base plate and large sand weight ,a telescopic upright and a designed cross beam. When tying drapes on a small ladder is required prior to extension.
3. Winchups and truss
These are normally used for heavy duty lighting equipment. They are useful as they span 10m across with only two uprights. They winch-up with a mechanical boat winch to 4.5metres.This is the most structural way to suspend drapes.
Warning: All rigging no matter how structural will fall over if exposed to a wind source of any kind. Drapes tied to any free standing structure create a sail ,even a small banner becomes a spinnaker . There is no safe way to do this rigging where any wind not even strong wind is potentially going to impact on the free standing structure. Free standing rigging sets are designed for indoor use only. Any structure that involves rigging and drapes outside a venue requires an structural engineer. |
